Giddens Bros. Updates Old Herald Building

GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Beautification Committee on April 23 recognized Giddens Bros. Plumbing, Heating & Air for the improvements to its new headquarters on North Lincoln Way.
The building at 604 N. Lincoln Way was the base of operations for the Galt Herald and its parent companies for nearly 45 years until the newspaper moved out last year.
Giddens Bros. removed much of the 1970s-era wood paneling and cleared out cubicle walls to make a spacious work area. The company also redid the landscaping and modernized the lobby.
Owner Mark Hutchason said he looks forward to doing business in his hometown. He and his wife Belinda Hutchason gave Beautification Committee members a tour of the space before the committee gave them a certificate and placed a sign thanking the business “for doing your part to make Galt beautiful.”
