GALT, CA (MPG) - On the morning of July 20, Galt Police Department officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision into structure at Galt Dental Group, located at 1067 C St.

Upon arrival, officers, with assistance from Cosumnes Fire Department personnel, initiated a collision investigation.

Findings revealed that a 47-year-old female, the sole occupant of a Toyota Camry, had parked on the west side of the business. While parked, the driver inadvertently accelerated, causing the vehicle to drive through the business.

Fortunately, the business was unoccupied at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported by the driver. The collision was determined to be the result of driver error and alcohol/drugs were not a contributing factor.
