CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Sacramento Suburban Water District, in conjunction with WaterWise Consulting and HydroRain, is offering free weather-based sprinkler timers to its customers.

Weather-based sprinkler timers use continually updated local weather data to determine how long sprinklers need to run. The B-hyve also takes into account things like soil type, plant type, sun/shade and slope to determine a watering schedule that makes sure water gets to the roots and isn’t lost to evaporation or run-off.

The sprinkler timer can also be monitored and controlled from anywhere in the world using the free B-hyve sprinkler timer app, which is available through the Apple App store or Google Play.

The sprinkler timers are free to SSWD customers who have a standard sprinkler timer and a Wi-Fi connection. Installation is also included at no charge.
