SSWD to Hold Public Meeting on Urban Water Management Plan
May 12, 2021 12:00AM ● By By SSWD staffSACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) has prepared an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP). The District intends to adopt the proposed UWMP and WSCP after a Public Hearing on Monday, May 17th at 6:00 p.m.
The UWMP and WSCP bring together important information on water supply and usage, and conservation programs at SSWD. SSWD is updating its 2015 UWMP and WSCP to reflect current conditions and legislation. The UWMP and WSCP presents SSWD’s efforts to promote efficient water use consistent with the California Urban Water Management Planning Act.
The proposed UWMP and WSCP changes are available for public inspection at the District’s Administrative Office, located at 3701 Marconi Avenue, Suite 100, Sacramento, California. Copies of the UWMP and incorporated WSCP can be downloaded from https://www.sswd.org/departments/engineering/reports/urban-water-management-plan.
Upon completion of the Public Hearing, the UWMP and WSCP will be modified, if required, and a final draft prepared for adoption at the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting on June 21, 2021.
