The Liberty Ranch Hawks had a good start to their season, winning their first four games.
The wins were against Escalon 7-5, Hiram Johnson 12-0, Marysville 9-4 and their first league game against Rosemont 6-1.
They lost 5-2 against Amador then faced Bradshaw Christian. Bradshaw Christian, a private school, has become a baseball powerhouse, winning the league the last three years in a row. The Hawks’ last league championship was in the 2019-20 season, and they have taken second place the last three years.
Bradshaw beat the Hawks 17-2 at home. With 17 at bats, only three Hawks were able to hit off Bradshaw. They were Shaye Setter, Freshman Nolan House and Theodore Seidel. Derek Nelson had an RBI.
