GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch boys golf team beat the Galt Warriors 229-261 on April Fool’s Day at Emerald Lakes golf course. 

Sean O’Brien scored the lowest for the Hawks at 39 followed by Hunter Rohner with 40. Next were Kobe Aguillen-48, Trevor Schwietz-51, Chris Gutierrez-51 and Jack Radford-60.

Scores for the Warriors were as follows: Garrett Rose-43, Josh Basto-49, Hayden Miller-50, Austin Sulliven-55, Ayden Stolhmer-64 and Carson McEwin-71.

Hawk head coach Mike Turpin said it was a good win that puts them 3-1 in league play. 

“Sean O’Brien played well today and Hunter Rohner persevered even though he didn’t play his best today,” said Turpin.

“Kobe Aguillen was working on a good round, but he had a tough time on the last hole.  I would like to see a bit more consistency.”

“We have an important match Thursday against Rosemont to close out the first half of league play.”
