GALT, CA (MPG) - A few of our Liberty Ranch track athletes are still training and preparing when all the other spring sports are done and out of the playoffs. 

After the All-League meet, many athletes qualified to compete in the Sac Joaquin Section Meet. 

The Liberty boys did so well that they placed second overall in Division 4 and brought home a big plaque. 

Kyle Oltmanns came in first at sections in both the 1600- and 3200-meter races. Yousef Diab placed first in the 800m.  

The boys 4x400 relay team also came in first at Sections. Yousef Diab, Oscar Romero, Camren Hudson and Joseph Brown set a new Liberty Ranch record with a time of 3:26.28.

Competition was steep for the Hawk ladies, and even though the 4x400 relay team, with Mariah Gonzalez, Halle Ory, Gianella Sandoval and Kimberly Rodriguez, placed fifth at Sections, they still set a new Liberty Ranch record of 4:25.35.

Ellianna Keiser is the only Hawk girl to move on to Masters with her third-place finish in the 100m hurdles with a personal record of 16.85.

Larry Lucas nabbed a second place in the 110m hurdles, and Brown placed second in the 300m hurdles.  Both boys are moving on to Masters.

Cameron Hudson placed third with a 20-07.25 long jump and also will be competing in the Masters this Friday and Saturday.
