GALT, CA (MPG) - Two boxers from Guerrero’s Gym competed all year and earned their way to the USA Boxing 2024 National Junior Olympics in New Mexico the last weekend in June.

Eleven-year-old Daniel Sanchez battled his opponents and won the gold medal his first time at the event.

Layla Lujan, also 11, faced some tough opponents and placed third overall. She was awarded a bronze medal.

The families would like to thank the Galt Community, friends, family and businesses who contributed and helped to make the trip to New Mexico possible.
