GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch Hawk football team headed to Stockton last Friday night to take on the Stagg Delta Kings. The Hawks were relentless, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter while the defense held the Delta Kings from scoring at all.
The final score was Liberty Ranch 40, Stagg 21. The Hawks put up 27 points in the first half with Stagg only able to answer back with one touchdown.
Quarterback Wyatt Blevins completed three out of 5 passes for 41 yards, and rushed 25 yards in four carries.
Camren Hudson carried the ball racking up 103 yards. Joseph Brown rushed 100 yards and gained an additional 14 on a punt return.
The Hawks kept the Delta Kings guessing, having 11 players carry the ball. James Rangel had 78 yards, Oscar Romero 69, Antonio Nuno 47, Lucas Temple 31, Landon Peterson 14, Brodey Johnston 13, Eston Tucker 6 and George Adrian 4.
The scoring was spread across the grid also with James Rangel scoring twice, and Lucas Temple, Joseph Brown, George Adrian and Camren Hudson each scoring one touchdown.
Kicker Brodey Johnston scored 4 PATs.
Michael Lamson was the tackle king with four. James Rangel, Joseph Adams, Camren Hudsen and Oscar Romero each garnered two tackles while George Adrian, Sean O’Brien and Axel Torres were each credited with one tackle.
The Hawks are away again the night of Friday, Aug. 30, heading to Linden to take on the Lions.
