GALT, CA (MPG) - On Sept. 14, our Liberty Ranch FFA chapter hosted its first major community event: our annual Farm to Fork dinner. As per tradition, the event was held outside in the promenade in downtown Galt.
The food and drinks were provided by a variety of vendors: local Galt farms, Mark Beck Livestock, Jackson Catering & Events, Spaans Cookie Co., Parker Realty, Oak Ridge Winery, Lange Twins Winery & Vineyard, Barsetti Vineyards and IDOL Beer Works. The support of the vendors is greatly appreciated.
Nearly 190 tickets were purchased by members of the community. Alongside the support of vendors, we had the support of students from Liberty Ranch and Galt FFA, who helped set up the event and volunteered to serve once the dinner rolled around.
The event turned out amazing, and it was a great start to the year. We appreciate the support of the vendors and the support of everyone who attended. Thank you for helping us start off the year on the right foot.
In just over a month, three Liberty Ranch FFA teams alongside a group of FFA students will attend the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo. Competing at this convention will be our Agricultural Sales, Advanced Parliamentary Procedure and Conduct of Chapter Meetings teams. These three teams have worked extremely hard to get here, and we are so excited to watch them compete at the national level.
If you are interested in staying up to date on the results, we will be posting about them over on our Instagram (@libertyranchffa), and the sessions are livestreamed at ffa.org. Besides the teams, we also have a group of students who are attending to support the teams and experience all the convention has to offer, including a career show, FFA Mega Store, a concert featuring Megan Moroney, a rodeo and sessions.
We are so excited to see what this year has to offer, and we extend our thanks to every community member and student who helps to support our chapter.
