GALT, CA (MPG) - The Warrior Volleyball team has started its league season. They have been playing in the Nottoli Dome while they wait for the gym floor to be resurfaced.
There have been some unforeseen delays, and the ladies have even had to play some games at Liberty Ranch when the air conditioning went out in the Dome during some of the 100-degree days.
The Warriors battled hard in a sweltering gym last week against Rosemont. They played well and only lost the first two sets by two points. Rosemont won the last set 25-14.
Next they played El Dorado, winning the first set 25-21; they lost the next three sets 25-5, 25-18 and 25-10.
Athletic Director John van den Raadt looks forward to the next set.
“Our girls battled hard vs Rosemont,” said van den Raadt. “Rosemont is a tough team this year, but we are excited to face them again at their place.”
