GALT, CA (MPG) - Seventeen Warrior ladies have formed Galt High’s new flag football team. Flag football is a new sport gaining in popularity and sanctioned by the California Interscholastic Federation.

Almost all of the schools in our area and our league have girls’ flag football teams now and Galt High is no exception.

Ryan Tassell is a new English teacher at Galt High and has taken on the coaching duties for the flag football team. It is a learning process, and the team continues to get better each game.

The ladies were shut out their first two games against Argonaut and Amador but scored their very first touchdown against Bradshaw Christian this last Tuesday. 

They have lots of games left to play and the team encourages Galt High fans to come out and support them.
