JV Warriors Show Well Against El Dorado
Oct 14, 2024 09:59AM ● By Paige LampsonGALT, CA (MPG) - It was a great game that came down to the last seconds. With the Warriors down by one touchdown, they managed to score with minutes left in the game making the score 20-21.
Lastly it came down to a extra point try or two-point conversion attempt. Head coach Mike Kelly decided to go for the two-point conversion. Afterall, there is no overtime in JV football, and he wanted to go for the win.
Unfortunately, the Cougars stopped the Warriors.
Thrilling the crowd, the Warriors were able to gain control again with an onside kick. They had 30 seconds to work their way down the field. With five seconds left, Anthony Trejo came in as quarterback and threw a 40 or so yard pass to Mark Grammer and he reeled it in. Grammer then ran for everything he was worth, and it looked like he might score, but alas was tackled at the five-yard line as the buzzer sounded.
The JV Warriors lost an exciting game, with the final score 20-21.
