SOLANO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The GALT Shooters made a strong return to Birds Landing for the third event in this season’s five-part Sporting Clay series. The team, having put in significant training since their last outing, saw their hard work pay off as overall athlete scores improved, with many members achieving personal bests.
In the young adult division, recent Liberty Ranch High School graduate Timothy Domingo took home first place. This victory marks his second first-place finish of the season, in addition to a fourth-place award, showcasing his consistency and skill in competition.
In the junior varsity division, first-year shooter Conrad Dixon earned an impressive fourth place. Dixon has proven to be a solid addition to the team, steadily performing well and contributing to the squad’s overall success.
As a team, the GALT Shooter varsity squad currently sits in third place out of 16 schools competing for the coveted Series Points Cup, while the junior varsity squad also holds third place out of 11 competing schools.
Both teams are determined to maintain their momentum as they prepare for the next competition at Quail Point Hunting Club in Zamora on Oct. 20, for the fourth event of the season.
With two events left, the GALT Shooters aim to climb even higher in the standings and continue their successful season.
