GALT, CA (MPG) - After the Liberty Ranch Hawks celebrated their seniors, they went to work and beat the Rosemont Wolverines 41-6 on Friday, Oct. 25.
The win solidifies the Hawks’ third place in league with a 6-3 record and at least one playoff game in their future.
Sharing the touchdown duties were Joseph Brown and Brodey Johnston with two each; Andrew Quinn and Lucas Temple scored one touchdown each. James Rangel was successful on five of six extra-point kicks.
Senior quarterback Wyatt Blevins completed two out of six pass attempts for a total of 91 yards passing. Johnston and Temple scored on each of those caught passes.
Brown rushed for 104 yards, followed by Quinn-85, Johnston-77, Temple-30, Camren Hudson-26, James Rangel-23, Daimien Lee-18, Axel Torres-11 and Ezra Gomez-9.
The defense basically shut down the Wolverines and it was a team effort. George Adrian blocked a punt, caused two fumbles and recovered one fumble. Easton Tucker also recovered a fumble.
The many participants in tackles included Johnston-8, Adrian-7, Hudson-5, Sean O’Brien-5, Andrew Quinn-5, Joseph Adams-4, Landon Peterson-4, Cesar Becerra-4, Axel Torres-3, Easton Tucker-3, Rangel-2, Kobe Aguillen-1, Michael Lamson-1, Michael Schroeder-1 and Cutler Perez-1.
The Hawks play their last season game against the Galt Warriors at Warrior Stadium on Friday, Nov. 1 (after press time), before the playoffs.
