GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Warriors boys basketball team faced the Delta Saints on Friday, Nov. 22. Galt played well and only lost by one basket, 43-41.

At halftime, the score was Delta 20, Galt 14. Head Coach Ronal Earp must have inspired the team with the halftime talk, because they came back and played hard, catching up to the Saints. The Warriors put 16 points on the board while only allowing the Saints 12 in the third quarter. 

 Galt pulled ahead by a basket in the fourth quarter but eventually lost in the close match. 

Returning head coach Earp only has four seniors on the roster this year.

“The varsity team is young this year,” said Earp. “They work hard and will be competitive. They are hard workers on the court and in the classroom.”

Game stats were not posted by press time. The Warriors will host Calaveras on Monday, Dec. 2.
