GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt High girls’ basketball teams were on the road at the Del Campo tournament Thursday, Dec. 19 through Saturday, Dec. 21. 

The varsity girls took on Valley High in the first-round match and won 38-14. This brought them to play Del Campo in the second round. 

They previously lost to Del Campo earlier this year. 

A hard-fought game was played by both teams, but the Warriors pulled out a 29-22 victory. They then moved on to the championship round.

The final had them playing Oakmont. The girls put up a valiant effort but took a 57-23 loss. They brought home a second-place trophy.

The JV girls started with Oakmont. They were up 14-6 at the half and never looked back. Ending in a 33-11 victory. 

On the second day the JV Warriors faced a very tough Casa Robles team. They were able to hold them to three points in the first half, but Rams got hot, and the girls lost 35-14. This placed them in contention for a third-place finish. 

They played Woodland for the consolation round. They started strong and never trailed in the game. They scored a 31-20 victory and brought home a third-place trophy.
