GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch girls’ basketball team hosted the inaugural Todd Messersmith Memorial Tournament earlier in the month. Messersmith was a mentor and coach to many of the  community’s youth and passed away from cancer last year.

The tournament lasted two days and after all was said and done, the Liberty Ranch Hawks came away with the top prize.  

Haley Smith was named tournament MVP and Messersmith’s granddaughter Kamrynn Blevins was named All-Tourney.
