GALT, CA (MPG) - Liberty Ranch girls basketball went into league season with nine straight wins. On Tuesday, Jan. 7 they faced Union Mine and made it 10 straight wins. This pushes their season record up to 12-2 and ranked first in the league.

Junior Haley Smith continues to do her part and has been averaging 21.5 points per game. Smith usually scores at least a third of the team’s points.  She also averages eight rebounds and 4.3 steals per game and tops it off with an 80% free throw average.

The Hawk offense has been very strong this year across that stretch, as they average 63.8 points per game. 

The Hawks under head coach Josh Williams, in his second year coaching the girls, has another league championship in their sights.
