GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch Hawk boys’ soccer team is on a seven-win winning streak with one tie with Hiram Johnson in the middle of the wins. They have been able to shut out Rosemont 6-0, Union Mine 4-0, Amador 7-0, El Dorado 2-0 and Bradshaw 6-0. 

During the game against Rosemont, freshman Ivan Gonzalez got the hat trick and kicked in three goals, while juniors Leyton Munoz and Alan Montelongo each scored one and senior EZ Duarte also scored one goal.

Goalie Raj Pillay had three saves for the evening.

Freshman Ivan Gonzalez is able to visualize the holes in the defense. 

“I just saw spaces,” said Gonzalez. “During practice I see everyone cross in and I am always there ready for the pass. We are all a team and work together and work as a family.”

“It was a good win for us,” said Head Coach Garett Arechiga. “It was what we needed to get the momentum back. We had a lapse in our performance last week with the 1-1 tie, which we will chalk up to the break. Coming back, we were a little flat, but it was good to get back on the right path. We are just trying to get these guys prepared and ready to go next week.”
