GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Police Department arrested 23-year-old Justin Atkinson of Stockton for alleged sexual assault and elder abuse following an investigation into incidents at a medical facility in Galt, the Galt Police Department announced on Facebook.

 Patients at the facility came forward to report being sexually assaulted by an employee. After an investigation, which included victim statements and corroborating evidence from witnesses, Atkinson was identified as the suspect allegedly responsible for the assaults. The medical facility suspended Atkinson immediately after the allegations were brought to the staff’s attention, according to the Galt Police Department.

 Atkinson was arrested without further incident on Tuesday and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is being held on multiple felony charges.

 “This arrest reflects the commitment of the Galt Police Department to seek justice for victims of sexual abuse,” Police Chief Brian Kalinowski said. “We encourage anyone who may have additional information related to this case to contact our detectives as we continue our investigation.”

 Atkinson remains in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail, where his bail is set at $200,000. His court date was scheduled for Jan. 30.
