GALT, CA (MPG) - In a remarkable display of talent and determination, the Liberty Ranch High School girls' wrestling team has returned home triumphant after securing the 2025 SVC League Championship. Competing at the league tournament held in El Dorado, the nine-member squad not only showcased their wrestling prowess but also united as a team to bring home an impressive collection of medals, celebrating their group accomplishment.

The team’s victory paves the way for even greater ambitions as they now shift their focus to individual championships. During the recent tournament, five standout athletes earned the prestigious title of All-League after claiming first place in their respective weight classes. Kaydince Silva, Jordan Gold, Shaylah Sarganis, Veronika Shayhen and Merlina Panteleon all emerged as champions, further spotlighting the depth and skill within the roster.

In a commendable performance, Hawk Amealiah Muela also made waves, finishing strong with a second-place finish in her category, demonstrating the overall strength and competitiveness of the Liberty Ranch girls’ wrestling program.

Coach Brian Robinson praised the team for its extraordinary effort and commitment throughout the season.

“These young women have put in countless hours of hard work and dedication,” said Robinson. “Their success at the league championships reflects their passion for the sport and their ability to overcome challenges together.”

As they prepare for the upcoming Master’s Tournament, the team is hopeful for more accomplishments. Success here could lead to an even more prestigious opportunity: competition at the California State Tournament.

With a strong finish this season and aspirations for state-level success, the future looks bright for the Liberty Ranch team. Fans and followers of the program are encouraged to continue supporting these talented athletes as they aim for glory in the matches ahead.
