GALT, CA (MPG) - A body was found on the shoulder of Highway 99 just north of Twin Cities Road on Saturday, according to California Highway Patrol.

The body was found in the afternoon hours on the shoulder of northbound Highway 99, just north of the Twin Cities Road exit near Galt, the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento Office said in a social media post just before 4 p.m.

The circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation.
