GALT, CA (MPG) - A man was arrested Sunday for a hit-and-run DUI collision with a motorcyclist near West Stockton Boulevard and Twin Cities Road.

According to Galt police, a concerned citizen contacted police after witnessing the collision and provided updates on the direction of the vehicle.

Police apprehended the man at a shopping center on the 1000 block of C Street.

According to Galt Police, the man was allegedly so intoxicated that he was unable to remember where he struck the motorcyclist. He is also reported to have two prior convictions for DUI, was on DUI court probation and had his license suspended for a prior DUI.

The suspect was booked in Sacramento County Jail on felony charges of DUI, felony hit-and-run, and other DUI-related misdemeanor charges.
