GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch baseball season got off to an impressive start on Feb. 28, when the Hawks delivered a commanding 10-0 victory over Leroy Green Academy. The Hawks showcased their offensive prowess and defensive strength, setting a positive tone for the season ahead.

Leading the charge at the plate were Kade Lecompte and Mario Rubalcava, each contributing two hits and two runs to the scoreboard. Their dynamic performance was pivotal in solidifying the Hawks’ early lead.

The Hawks’ offensive attack was well balanced, with several other players stepping up to contribute. Andrew Guthrie, Garrett Owen, Hunter Adversalo, Nolan House, and Vance Moe each crossed home plate, securing a run for the team and bolstering the scoreline.

On the mound, Vance Moe was nothing short of spectacular. He pitched four innings, allowing only three hits while striking out an impressive seven batters. Moe's control and ability to keep the opposing team off the base paths played a significant role in the Hawks’ shutout victory.

“Our offense came out strong, and Vance did a fantastic job on the mound,” said head coach Jason Adversalo. “It’s always nice to start the season with a win like this. It gives us good momentum as we head into league play.”

The Hawks’ victory marks an encouraging beginning to the season as they prepare to face Union Mine in their league opener on March 11. With talent and teamwork on full display in this first game, Liberty Ranch will look to carry this energy into the rest of their schedule.
