BGALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt High School basketball community came together last week to honor their athletes during the annual end-of-season banquets, celebrating the achievements of both the boys’ and girls’ teams.
The Galt boys’ basketball team proudly announced Anthony Rose Garcia as their All-League player for the year, recognizing his contributions and standout performances throughout the season. During the banquet, varsity awards were also distributed, highlighting the hard work and dedication of the players.
Cooper Cagle was named Most Improved, showcasing his growth and development over the season.
The Academic Award went to Seth Miller, reflecting his commitment to academics alongside his athletic pursuits, while Jayden Gaither received the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his exceptional contributions on the court.
The junior varsity (JV) team also celebrated their accomplishments, with Axel Olmos receiving the Most Improved award, Bryan Villalobos honored for his academic achievements, and Garrett Rose being named the MVP.
The freshman team awards recognized MC Azubuike as Most Improved, Clayton George and Santiago Gonzalez for their academic excellence, and Mark Grammer as MVP.
Meanwhile, the girls’ basketball team also gathered for their banquet, with freshman sensation Skyler Moore earning a spot on the All-League team. Demonstrating her offensive prowess, she was also named Offensive Player of the Year. Nella Feilbach took home the Defensive Player of the Year honor, recognizing her outstanding defensive skills throughout the season. The Warrior Award was presented to Emily Pena for her exceptional spirit and team leadership, while the Inspirational Award was awarded to Valerie Lopez, acknowledging her positive impact and motivation within the team.
