GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Children’s Makers Market, in partnership with the City of Galt and Galt Saturday Market, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3.

The host of this market is the Acton Children’s Business Fair, a nonprofit organization with the goal of helping children discover their inner entrepreneur. According to its website, Makers Market is the largest entrepreneurship event for youth in North America. This one-day market gives children ages 6 to 18 the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses.

The city is expanding the market down C Street for a special children’s market area, the same location as the Galt Saturday Market at 628 C St.

Talented young makers, bakers, artists and entrepreneurs will showcase and sell their creations.
So far, booths that will participate at the maker’s market include Ella’s Bowtique, Emma’s Cookie Jar, Weston’s Woodshop, Lazy Girl Products, Nails by Els, Fairy Light Flowers, Calico Art and Craft, JJ’s Sweet Treats and Crochet Queen hand-crocheted goods.

Attendees can expect to interact with unique products by young entrepreneurs, have a fun and family-friendly shopping experience, and enjoy sweet treats, crafts, jewelry and more.

Calling all young entrepreneurs! Any youth interested in wanting to be part of the market and sell creations can apply to be a “kid vendor” for the makers market.

According to the Galt Children’s Maker Market Facebook page, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about business, showcase creativity and make some extra cash.
