SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - In a remarkable showcase of talent and dedication, Julea Mort, a former softball standout from Liberty Ranch High School, was recognized as the Hawk of the Year at Cosumnes River College (CRC) during the annual athletic banquet. Since graduating high school in 2023, Mort has made a significant impact on the CRC softball team, demonstrating her prowess on the field.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Mort is also excelling academically. She is set to graduate with an associate’s degree in business administration, boasting an impressive 3.85 GPA.

This remarkable balance of academics and athletics speaks volumes about her commitment and hard work throughout her time at CRC.

As Mort prepares for the next phase of her educational journey, she has decided to transfer to San Diego State University this fall. While she will be stepping away from collegiate softball, Mort is eager to focus entirely on her academics, aiming for even greater achievements in her studies.
