GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Warriors stunt team has taken significant strides forward this season under the direction of first-year head coach Emmary Buys, finishing fourth in the six-team league standings: a notable improvement from previous campaigns.

Coach Buys brought fresh energy and perspective to the Warriors program, helping the team climb in the competitive league that includes powerhouse Liberty Ranch, Bradshaw Christian, Union Mine, Argonaut and El Dorado. The fourth-place finish represents meaningful progress for a program looking to establish itself as a contender.

Junior Andriena Rodriguez was selected as the Warriors’ sole representative on the all-league team, an honor allocated by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). The distinction places Rodriguez among the elite performers in a league known for its high level of talent and competition.

“A lot of girls worked hard and improved this year, but Rodriguez stood out, worked hard and deserves the honor,” said Coach Buys, highlighting the junior’s exceptional commitment and performance throughout the season.

The Warriors’ improvement in the league standings suggests the program is moving in a positive direction. 

With Rodriguez returning for her senior season next year, the team will have an established all-league performer to build around as they continue their upward trajectory.

As the relatively new sport of stunt continues to grow in popularity across California schools, Galt’s progress this season positions it to potentially challenge for even higher placement in the coming years.

The Warriors will look to carry this season’s momentum forward as Coach Buys continues to develop the program and establish Galt as an emerging force in the increasingly competitive stunt landscape.
