GALT, CA (MPG) - On Saturday, June 28, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Galt Police officers responded to a report of a fire behind Kiki’s Wings and Tenders, located at 1067 C St. Cosumnes Fire quickly arrived on scene and extinguished the fire before it could spread further.

Upon arrival, officers located a suspicious male hiding on the back patio of the business. A witness at the scene positively identified the individual as the person who intentionally started the fire.

The suspect, identified as Jose Angel Guerra Hernandez, 25, of Walnut Grove, was found in possession of multiple lighters, a small propane canister and a used methamphetamine pipe, police said.

Guerra-Hernandez was arrested for arson and possession of drug paraphernalia, and later was transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail. 

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
