GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch Hawks softball team capped off its most successful season in school history by earning multiple all-league honors, led by senior Bella Granata’s league MVP award.

The Hawks completed a perfect 14-0 league campaign and advanced further in the playoffs than any team in school history, finishing with a 20-6 overall record before falling in the section championship game to Calaveras.

Granata dominated league competition, leading the Hawks with seven home runs while posting impressive numbers across multiple categories. The league MVP finished with a team-high .587 on-base percentage, 36 RBIs, a remarkable 1.043 slugging percentage and 12 doubles. Her .457 batting average ranked second on the team.

“Bella had an exceptional year and truly earned the MVP recognition,” said Head Coach Vince Bunac. “Her leadership both at the plate and in the field was instrumental in our success all season long.”

Joining Granata on the all-league team were teammates Gracyn Graviette, Laura Quinn, Mariella Granata and Paityn Snow, giving the Hawks five total all-league selections.

The Hawks’ offensive success was built on a balanced attack. Carlie Perez led the team with a .484 batting average, while Snow contributed two home runs and Khali Barrantes and Perez each contributed one home run.

On the mound, all-league selection Quinn anchored the pitching staff with a 2.63 ERA. Snow provided valuable depth with a 3.18 ERA while also contributing significantly at the plate with 25 RBIs: second-best on the team.

The Hawks’ aggressive base-running game was led by Barrantes, who swiped a team-high 16 stolen bases, followed by Mariella Granata with 12. Mariella Granata also excelled defensively, posting a team-best .983 fielding percentage while leading the Hawks with 35 hits.

“This was truly a season for the books,” Bunac reflected. “While I was disappointed we didn’t capture the section title, I couldn’t be prouder of the grit and determination these young women displayed throughout the year. We have several future college players on this roster.”

Beyond the impressive statistics and accolades, Bunac emphasized what made this team special.
“These are some of the most respectful and conscientious young ladies you’ll find anywhere,” he said. “They genuinely love and support each other both on and off the field. As their coach, I feel truly honored to have worked with such an exceptional group of student-athletes.”

The five all-league selections represent the culmination of a historic season that has established a new standard for Liberty Ranch softball. With their perfect league record, deep playoff run and individual recognition, the Hawks have built a foundation for continued success in years to come.
