EL DORADO, CA (MPG) - Liberty Ranch JV football traveled to Union Mine looking to bounce back but found itself in an early hole it couldn’t climb out of, falling 21-6 to the Hawks.
Union Mine controlled the game early, scoring touchdowns in each of the first three quarters to build a commanding 21-0 lead. The Hawks’ balanced attack kept Liberty’s defense on its heels throughout the first half, taking a 14-0 advantage into the locker room.
Union Mine extended its lead with another touchdown in the third quarter, appearing to put the game away at 21-0.

The JV Hawks force a fumble.
Liberty Ranch showed heart in the fourth quarter, finally breaking through with a touchdown to avoid the shutout. However, the early deficit proved too much to overcome as Union Mine’s defense tightened up to preserve the victory.
The loss drops the Hawks’ record as they head back home, while Union Mine continues its strong season with the convincing win. Liberty will look to regroup and get back on track in its next outing.
