SEBASTOPOL, CA (MPG) - The 2014 Girls Galt FC Waves capped off a dominant tournament performance by capturing the championship at the 35th annual Apple Classic, hosted by Wesco Soccer Club.

The Waves showcased their offensive firepower throughout the weekend, defeating four of the area’s top teams while finding the back of the net an impressive 16 times during their championship run.

Leading the charge was tournament leading scorer Stella Rose, whose consistent goal-scoring ability proved crucial in the team’s success. Between the posts, goalkeeper Bailie Harrington anchored a stout defense that provided the foundation for the championship campaign.

Adding depth and energy to the squad was Eva Cross, who made significant contributions coming off the bench as a key spark plug for the team when called upon.

The championship represents the culmination of excellent preparation and coaching from the trio of Sergio Duarte, Jessica Holland and Nathan Oltmanns, who guided the Waves through a competitive field to claim the Apple Classic title.

The victory highlights the strength and depth of the Galt FC Waves program, as the team’s balanced attack and solid defensive play proved to be the winning formula against top-level competition throughout the tournament.
