GALT, CA (MPG) - On Sept. 28, the City of Galt posted a reminder on social media to the business community about the requirements under the Galt Municipal Code regarding business licenses.

According to Galt Municipal Code Title 5 – Business Taxes, Licenses and Regulations, all businesses, trades, professions, or occupations operating in the city must hold a valid business license.

The city noted that changes in business license vendors and the renewal process over the past few years have caused some confusion. To provide clarity, city staff will be visiting local businesses to verify that current licenses are properly displayed, share information on how to apply for or renew a license and ensure businesses have the resources needed to remain compliant.
