SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch High School girls’ golf team captured first place at the Sierra Valley Conference League Tournament II on Monday at Bing Maloney Golf Complex, capping a successful 2025 season.

The Hawks finished third in the overall league standings but saved their best performance for the season’s final tournament. The victory at Bing Maloney showcased the depth and talent that has been building within the program.

Four Liberty Ranch golfers earned coveted top-ten All-League honors for their consistent performances throughout the season. Senior Gaby Fender led the Hawks with a fourth-place All-League finish, while junior Jordann Kennedy claimed sixth place. Sophomore Sara Martinelli secured seventh place and senior Gabrielle Akers rounded out the Hawks’ All-League selections with an eighth-place finish.

The quartet’s strong play throughout the season helped establish Liberty Ranch as one of the premier programs in the Sierra Valley Conference. Their success at multiple levels – from freshman to senior – signals a bright future for Hawks golf.

The tournament victory at Bing Maloney Golf Complex provided a fitting conclusion to a season that saw Liberty Ranch compete consistently against the conference’s top teams. With three underclassmen earning All-League recognition alongside Fender, the Hawks appear poised to build on this year’s success in seasons to come.
