GALT, CA (MPG) - The City of Galt announced in its most recent newsletter that the city is shaping its future with the 2025-2027 City of Galt Strategic Plan, which was adopted by city council at its Nov. 4 meeting.
A strategic plan serves as a framework to guide the city’s efforts, ensuring that decisions, programs and investments align with the community’s vision and priorities.
The final 2025-2027 City of Galt Strategic Plan includes six strategic priorities and outcomes. The first item for the plan includes “Quality of Life,” to preserve and improve Galt’s small-town charm. Second is “Economic Development,” to pursue economic development opportunities to attract and retain quality industrial and retail users that enhance the quality of life for Galt residents.
Third on the list is “Fiscal Stability,” to ensure the city has viable and sustainable financial resources. Fourth is “Infrastructure,” to maintain and improve the city’s transportation, utility and facilities infrastructure to ensure and protect the community's health, safety and quality of life.
“Responsible Growth,” is the fifth item and is to help maintain the city’s small-town charm and quality of life through innovative and efficient growth. The last item, “Employee Engagement,” focuses on building a culture of connection, recognition and growth as well as to foster collaboration and boost employee morale. It will also aim to enhance job satisfaction, drive performance across departments and foster a workplace where employees feel valued and appreciated.
Progress toward these priorities will be reviewed quarterly with the City Council. Annually, council and department directors will assess the plan’s goals and outcomes for relevance, effectiveness and progress.
