GALT, CA (MPG) - On Sunday, Nov. 30, around 3:10 PM, Galt Police Department officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Partridge Drive regarding an argument with possible shots fired. 

As officers arrived on scene, they were directed to a vehicle that was leaving the area. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and it was found to be involved in the original call. 

At this time in the investigation, it has been determined that a family was having a gathering, and an argument broke out. Soon after, one of the family members retrieved a firearm and fired several shots in the air as he was leaving the location. 

The vehicle stopped had been at the residence but did not contain the family member that fired the shots. After canvassing the involved residence, several spent shell casings were recovered from the scene. There are no known injuries as a result of the shooting. 

The Galt Police Department Investigations Unit is actively investigating this incident and will update the community as more information becomes available.
