GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch Hawks JV soccer team continues to prove it belongs among the region’s elite, even when facing opponents well above its division.

On Dec. 11, the Hawks fell 3-1 to Pleasant Grove in a hard-fought battle. While the loss stings, there’s no shame in coming up short against a Division I powerhouse when you’re a Division IV program. The Hawks are building their program by testing themselves against the best, and that competitive schedule is paying dividends.

Where it matters most – in league play – Liberty Ranch is soaring. The Hawks have dominated their league opponents, securing convincing victories over Union Mine (8-0 on Dec. 10) and Amador (4-1 on Dec. 12). Those two wins show what the Hawks are capable of when they face teams in their own division.

The non-league schedule has been challenging. Liberty Ranch opened its recent run with a 4-1 loss at Franklin on Dec. 9, another test against quality competition. But the Hawks bounced back immediately, showcasing their resilience and ability to refocus.

With a 2-0 league record firmly in hand, the Hawks will look to carry their momentum into their next matchup against Tokay on Dec. 29 at 4:30 p.m. If its recent form is any indication, Liberty Ranch is a team that gets better with every challenge it faces.
