SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The G-Town Girls 7/8 grade competitive basketball team made the trip to Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on Friday night and left with memories – and a 2-0 record – to last a lifetime.

The young squad competed fiercely in the two-game matchup, showcasing the skills and heart that have defined the program for the past seven years.

“These girls represented our community with pride,” said program director Karrin Blevins. “Nights like this are a reflection of the work, commitment and love for the game that goes into this program year after year.”

The G-Town Girls program has become a pillar of youth basketball development in the community, offering both developmental and competitive opportunities for athletes in grades 5 through 8. Friday’s dominant performance was a testament to that foundation.

Head Coach Dan Molina and Assistant Coach Kyle Springmeyer drew praise for their dedication to developing strong female athletes both on and off the court.

“We’re incredibly proud of this team,” Blevins added.

For these young athletes, the experience of competing at such a premier venue against quality competition may well be a turning point: a moment that fuels their passion for the game and their community.
