GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt High School varsity girls’ swim team delivered a dominant performance against Rosemont last week, defeating them with a score of 136-34. The Warriors showed impressive depth throughout the meet and frequently swept events by placing first, second and third place.

Leading the way for Galt was Maggie Thomlinson, who captured first place in the 100 butterfly while improving her time by nearly three seconds compared to the previous week’s meet.

On the boys’ side, Mateo Mejia-Beas turned in one of the strongest swims for the Warriors, leading Galt in the 200 individual medley and dropping more than nine seconds from his previous time.

Overall, several Galt swimmers improved their times compared to the meet against Bradshaw Christian, showing the team’s continued progress early in the season. While the boys’ swimmers ultimately lost to Rosemont, they improved their overall score.

With a dominant girls’ victory and continued improvement across both teams, the Warriors look to carry that momentum into their upcoming meets.
