GALT, CA (MPG) - At McCaffrey Middle School, our students continue to shine both inside and outside the classroom through a wide variety of enriching activities, programs and competitions. From leadership conferences to college visits and outstanding performances in athletics and the arts. There is much to celebrate in our school community!

Our Future Farmers of America (FFA) students recently represented McCaffrey at the State Leadership Conference, where they developed valuable leadership, teamwork and agricultural education skills. This experience not only strengthens their knowledge of agriculture but also prepares them to be future leaders in their communities.

Students in our Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program had the opportunity to visit San Joaquin Delta College. This college field trip allowed students to explore campus life, learn about academic pathways and begin envisioning their futures beyond middle school.

In addition, our aspiring STEM leaders participated in a visit to California State University, Sacramento through the Women in Engineering program. This experience inspired students to consider careers in engineering and related fields, while connecting them with role models and hands-on learning opportunities.

Athletics continue to be a strong point of pride at McCaffrey. Our boys’ and girls’ soccer teams are demonstrating determination and teamwork as their seasons start.

Similarly, boys’ and girls’ basketball showcased impressive skill and sportsmanship on the court. The McCaffrey girls’ volleyball team brought energy and competitiveness to every match, while our cross-country runners showed perseverance and dedication in every race.

The arts are thriving as well, with our band and choir students delivering outstanding performances that highlight their talent and commitment. Their hard work continues to enrich our school culture and bring our community together through music.

Finally, we are proud of our KDOG student broadcasters who participated in Students Educational Video Awards (SEVA). Through this program, students developed communication skills, leadership qualities and a deeper understanding of technology and broadcasting.

At McCaffrey Middle School, we are committed to providing opportunities that empower students to explore their interests, build confidence and prepare for the future. We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work, enthusiasm and achievements.
