ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) - The Galt Youth Baseball and Softball 10U All Stars opened their tournament season with a weekend they will not soon forget, battling through a tough Saturday before coming back on Sunday to win it all at the Piece of the Rock Tournament in Rocklin.
Playing May 30-31 in Rocklin, the Galt 10U All Stars showed the kind of determination that can define a team early in the season. Saturday did not go their way, as the team dropped all three games on the opening day of the tournament. But instead of letting the losses define the weekend, the All Stars responded with toughness, teamwork and confidence.
On Sunday, May 31, Galt came back ready to compete. The players regrouped, trusted one another and turned the tournament around, finishing the weekend as champions. The comeback was especially impressive because it came in the team’s first tournament of the year together, giving the players an early example of what they can accomplish when they stay together and keep fighting.
The championship run was a full-team effort from the Galt roster: Zoey Cathey #2, Trinity Dozier #22, Liah Puga #9, Annette Henson #14, Mamie Holley #10, Ruby Ures #19, Kinzley Scherrer #3, Esther Luna #16, Georgia Ward #11, Eva Ostrom #5, Goldie Aarseth #7 and Zahleigh Cicero #6.
Their success at the Piece of the Rock Tournament was more than just a first-place finish. It was a statement about resilience. After a difficult start, the Galt 10U All Stars showed that one day does not decide a team’s story. They came back stronger, played for each other and left Rocklin with a championship to start the season.
Congratulations to the Galt Youth Baseball and Softball 10U All Stars on an unforgettable tournament win.
