GALT, CA (MPG) - Liberty Ranch High School STUNT athlete Sofia Richardson will continue her athletic and academic career at Northwest Nazarene University, a private Christian university in Nampa, Idaho, where she plans to pursue nursing while competing in STUNT.
Richardson has been a key member of the Liberty Ranch STUNT program for four years. As one of the team’s main upfront flyers throughout her high school career, she has helped to lead the program through every championship season and every league championship during her time on the team. Her consistency, skill and willingness to take on important roles have made her an important part of Liberty Ranch’s success.
As a flyer, Richardson has been counted on in some of the most visible and high-pressure positions in STUNT. Her experience and dedication have helped her to grow into the athlete she is today and prepared her for the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.
When asked why she chose Northwest Nazarene, Richardson said the university offered the right combination of faith, academics and athletics.
“I chose Northwest Nazarene because of its strong Christian values and the opportunity to do nursing and STUNT,” Richardson said.
Richardson’s commitment is also a special family story. Sofia is a triplet, and her triplet sisters have been part of the Liberty Ranch STUNT team with her, making the journey even more meaningful.
As she prepares for her next chapter, Richardson said she is grateful for the people who have helped support and guide her along the way.
“I definitely want to thank Coach Barbara for putting me in all the spots that needed to get me to where I am now,” Richardson said. “I also want to thank my dad for always coming to my games and supporting me, my triplet sisters for being on the STUNT team with me, and my mother for all her support.”
Richardson’s move marks an exciting new chapter after four successful years with Liberty Ranch STUNT. As she prepares to continue as a flyer while pursuing nursing, she carries with her the experience of championship seasons, the support of her family and the foundation built through her time at Liberty Ranch.
