GALT, CA (MPG) - It was a championship sweep for McCaffrey Middle School soccer on May 21 at Walker Park, as both the boys and girls teams capped off undefeated seasons by winning their middle school championship games.

The McCaffrey boys’ team, coached by James Smith, finished its season in perfect fashion, battling through the schedule without a loss before claiming the championship. The girls’ team, led by coach Carina Colomer, matched that success with an undefeated run of its own, bringing home a second title for McCaffrey on the same day.

Winning one championship is impressive. Having both soccer teams finish undefeated and win titles in the same season made it a special moment for McCaffrey athletics. The players’ hard work, teamwork and consistency throughout the season showed up when it mattered most, giving the school a soccer season to remember.
