GALT, CA (MPG) - On Wednesday, June 24, just before 10:40 p.m., Galt Police officers observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in the 300 block of Pine Street.

When officers attempted to stop one of the involved vehicles, the driver, later identified as 34-year-old Mark Livingston Jr. of Stockton, led officers on a short pursuit. The pursuit ended after Livingston struck a curb on Fairway Drive and fled on foot.

Officers established a perimeter around the area where he was last seen. With the assistance of the Folsom Police Department K9 Unit, Livingston was safely taken into custody.

Livingston was found to be on parole and had two outstanding felony warrants from another county. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 13 grams of methamphetamine, three grams of heroin, multiple smoking pipes and syringes.

Livingston was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on his felony warrants and additional charges including evading police, resisting a police officer, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
