An All-American Celebration

GALT, CA (MPG) - As the nation marks its 250th anniversary this year, the Fourth of July weekend is expected to bring an all-American celebration to city of Galt.
Festivities begin Saturday, July 4 with the annual Officer Tonn Memorial 5K Run/Walk, held in honor of fallen Galt Police Officer Kevin Tonn. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall, 380 Civic Drive. Pre-registration is encouraged and available at bit.ly/4uJeuFI (case sensitive).

The city’s Independence Day Parade follows with its decorative floats at 9:30 a.m., with prime viewing locations along Fourth and C streets and Civic Drive.
The celebration continues into the evening with Fireworks in the Pool at 7:30 p.m. at the Gora Aquatic Center, 630 Chabolla Ave. The day concludes with the Fireworks Spectacular at 9:30 p.m. at Veterans Field, 900 Caroline Ave.
