Cal-Waste Offers Residents Free Yearly Bulky Item Pickup Service

The city shared in its latest newsletter that residents have access to a free annual Handy Hauler and Bulky Item Pickup service through Cal-Waste for items including clothing, toys, books, furniture, mattresses, appliances and exercise equipment. Photo courtesy of City of Galt
GALT, CA (MPG) - Did You Know? Cal-Waste offers Annual Handy Hauler and Bulky Item Pickup services to Galt residents. Each service address is eligible for one free 3.5-cubic-yard Handy Hauler and one free Large Item Pickup per calendar year.
The Handy Hauler is ideal for clothing, toys, books, light household items and light construction debris. However, it cannot accept dirt, concrete, tires, electronics, hazardous waste or items weighing more than 50 pounds.
The Bulky Item Pickup is available for oversized items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, carpet and exercise equipment. Loose debris, yard waste, tree trunks, dirt, rock and concrete are not accepted.
