GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Warriors JV football team kept its perfect start intact Friday night, shutting out Golden Sierra 28-0 at home in the opener before the varsity contest.

The Warriors came out swinging with 13 points in the first quarter, then leaned on a stingy defense that held the Grizzlies scoreless through all four quarters. After a quiet middle stretch, Galt closed the door with a 15-point fourth quarter to seal the win and push its record to 2-0 on the season.

Up next, the JV Warriors break from their usual Friday routine and travel to Manteca for a Thursday night non-league matchup against the Sierra Timberwolves on Sept. 10.

 The schedule shift comes because the varsity squad heads to Natomas on Friday, and Natomas does not field a JV team, sending the Warriors' junior varsity to Manteca instead.
