GALT, CA (MPG) - The Galt Warriors girls flag football team picked up its first league win of the season, making the long bus ride up to Union Mine and returning home with a 33-18 victory.

Head Coach Ryan Tassell's squad was powered by a dominant performance from Chloe Goehring-Tassell (No. 8), who did a little bit of everything. Lining up at quarterback, running back and receiver, Goehring-Tassell rushed 23 times for 196 yards and two touchdowns while also completing 13 of 26 passes for 110 yards and two more scores through the air.

Allie Schmidt (No. 10) was the top target in the passing game, hauling in three catches for 44 yards and a touchdown.

The Warriors’ balanced attack on the ground and through the air kept Union Mine off balance all afternoon, and Galt’s defense held firm to secure the 15-point win.

The Warriors hit the road again next as they travel to face Bradshaw Christian, looking to build on the momentum and make it two straight in league play.
