GALT, CA (MPG) - The Liberty Ranch Hawks girls flag football team wasted no time making a statement in league play, rolling to a dominant 40-0 shutout victory over Bradshaw Christian in their league opener at home.

The Hawks controlled the game from start to finish, putting up 40 points on offense while the defense slammed the door completely, never allowing Bradshaw Christian to reach the end zone. The complete performance on both sides of the ball set an early tone for what Liberty Ranch hopes will be a strong league campaign.

There will be little time to rest, though. The Hawks were to face a busy stretch ahead, taking on Union Mine on Tuesday, Sept. 8 before turning right around to battle Amador on Thursday, Sept. 10. The quick turnaround will test the team’s depth and conditioning, but a packed schedule like this one should keep the Hawks sharp and in tip-top shape as the season heats up.
